No league or cup games are scheduled for this day, so the social chess scene will instead make way for the 2025 Woodseats Chess Club blitz competition. All members of Woodseats Chess Club who have paid their £10 membership fee (due by the end of January 2025) are eligible to play.

The event will be a 5-round Swiss, with a time control of 5 minutes plus a 5 second increment from move 1.
